Israeli authorities invited medics from Nepal to work

Israel’s Department of Foreign Employment has announced 1,000 job openings for Nepalis wishing to work abroad.

The Israeli authoritie

s are ready to hire 700 women and 300 men for nursing positions. The hiring process will follow the government-to-government model.

Members of the Israeli and Nepalese governments signed a labor pact last year. The first 500 workers have already been invited to work.

The Israeli government has already announced that the employee’s monthly salary is 5,300 NIS (shekels), the equivalent of 193,000 Nepalese rupees.

The term of the contract will be one year and can be extended up to five years. The employee must provide his or her own food, and the employer provides housing.

Anyone who has already worked in Israel and whose parents, spouses or daughters reside in Israel or are currently employed there is not eligible to participate in the selection process.
